Baseline Measurement
Baseline measurements in EEG and neurofeedback play a pivotal role in gaining insights into cognitive functioning, as exemplified by practices at Neuphony. To establish a baseline, EEG data is recorded for one minute with eyes closed and without any muscle movement, ensuring the capture of genuine data without anomalies. The recorded data undergoes filtering and machine learning algorithms at Neuphony, enhancing the understanding of brain functioning. This data serves as a foundation for evaluating cognitive functioning scores during various mental activities. The comprehensive approach involves utilizing baseline scores not only for personalized neurofeedback interventions but also for assessing cognitive performance and gaining valuable insights into brain function.
How to measure baseline:
Start a new session and click on ‘Start Recording’. All new sessions record baseline at the beginning.
You will know that the baseline measurement is complete when the ‘Insights’ button gets active after 1 minute of EEG recording.
