The Posterior Dominant Rhythm (PDR) is a rhythmic brainwave pattern of the dominant frequency in the brain. It's useful for assessing normal and healthy brain activity. PDR reflects the dominant posterior alpha rhythm when individuals close their eyes, offering insights into baseline brain function and helping identify abnormalities in neural processing.
PDR is measured by the Neuphony Desktop App during the baseline calculation. It is important to keep your eyes closed to get accurate measurements. For a healthy person, PDR values range from 8-12 Hz. If the value is consistently above or below the normal range, it is best to consult a professional.
